Dr. Wenbin

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Dr. Wenbin Luo is a Professor of Computer Engineering. He enjoys teaching programming (Python, Java, C/C++, Scratch, and Processing etc). He has 18+ years of experience in teaching programming and robotics camps to K-12 students. Some of the students he mentored in college went on to obtain their Ph.D. or Master's degrees at prestigious universities such as Stanford University, Rice University, CMU, Georgia Tech, Northwestern University, UT Austin, and Vanderbilt University. Dr. Luo has a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, a M.S. and B.S. in Electrical Engineering, and a second M.S. in statistics. He is an Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) in Java, a Senior Level Linux Professional (LPIC-3), and a Ubuntu Certified Professional (UCP). As a hobby, he manages a high-performance Linux cluster of several hundred CPUs and a Nvidia GPU powered deep learning machine.
